All settings in this box, except density, will be dimmed if
monochrome printing is selected in the Option box.
In the Colour setup dialogue box, you can...
• Accept settings or setting changes and return to the previous
dialogue box by clicking the "OK" button.
• Cancel any made setting changes and return to the previous
dialogue box by clicking the "Cancel" button.
• Display "Help" or "Version" information dialogue boxes by
clicking the corresponding button.
• Return all entered colour settings to their respective default
values by clicking the "Default" button.
The following settings can be accepted or changed:
• Colour Correction
Used to select one of three colour correction method. This
choice decides which options will be available in "Matching
setup" scroll boxes.
Matching
Matching method making images coincide as much as possible
with images read by the scanner or displayed on the monitor.
This option is not available when High-speed mode is selected
in the "Option" box.
One of the following matching methods can be selected:
Priority on colour (default)
Suited to printing natural images (e.g., photographs)
Minimum colour difference
Suited to printing specified colours only (e.g., logos)
Priority on brightness
Suited to printing computer graphics
One of the following monitor settings can be selected:
<BJ L&C gamma 1.5 Monitor>
<BJ L&C gamma 1.8 Monitor>
<BJ L&C gamma 2.1 Monitor>
Adjustments are made to reproduce optimum colours on the
printer. Of the above settings, choose the one best suited to the
gamma value of the monitor in use.
One of the following monitor settings can be selected:
<Canon IX-4025 Scanner>
<Canon CanoScan 300 Scanner>
The above are settings optimized for the characteristics of
Canon-brand scanners. Choose the settings to achieve colour
matching between scanned originals and printed images.
When either of the above two settings is specified, it is
recommended that "Minimum colour difference" be selected
as the matching method.
