Intermec ColorCoder V4 – Installation & Operation Ed. 1
The ColorCoder V4 is at delivery set for five different paper types,
which are designed to suit common applications. Each paper type
defines the paper in regard of the following parameters:
• Top of form, i.e. the means of detecting the front end of each
label or tag. There are 5 types:
- Label/Gap (precut adhesive labels fitted on backing paper)
- Label/Mark (precut labels fitted on backing paper with black
marks on the back side.
- Tag/Mark (non-adhesive tags with black marks on the back
side)
- Tag/Hole (non-adhesive tags with perforated detection slots)
- Tag/No TOF (continuous paper strip without any means for
top-of-form detection, such as black marks or slots). When
using Tag/No TOF for batch printing, e.g. from memory cards,
you must press the <Pause> key between each copy.
• Paper Width
• Paper Length
• Label Gap (used for Label/Gap only)
• Mark/Hole Width (used for Label/Marker, Tag/Marker, and
Tag/Hole)
The default values for the five predefined paper types are listed in
chapters 4.9 and 11.2.
You can change any paper type in regard of one or several
parameters and save the new settings in the printer's memory. Thus,
you can easily switch between five different types of labels and tags.
When printing large batches of labels or tags, it may be useful to
insert one or several blank copies after e.g. every 100 labels. The
"Partition Interval" and "Number of Partition Sheets" settings
allows you to control the printing in this respect.
"Margins" are used to crop the print image.
All of the parameters listed above, with the exception of "Top of
Form; Tag/No TOF", "Partition Interval", and "Number of
Partition Sheets" can also be set by means of the printer drivers.
