Paper Roll

CAUTION:
•
Do not feed any paper through the
printer before the complete
installation and cleaning procedure
has been completed and the paper
towels under the PHS unit have
been removed, see end of chapter
4.7.
•
Use only Collux labels and tags.
Use of other brands may result in
smeared and faint printing,
negatively affecting the print quality.
•
Be sure to properly reattach the
paper roll supply unit cover. Using
the printer with the cover
unattached will allow dirt, dust etc.
to negatively affect the printer.
•
Do not attempt to print any
document wider than the paper
rolls.
•
Documents excessively high in print
density may cause ink-spread
images and inversely affect ink
fixing.
•
Try to use up paper as quickly as
possible.
•
To store paper rolls, keep them in
the original packing and store in a
location away from direct sunlight
in order to avoid discoloration of
the paper.

. Adjust the front paper guide to fit the paper width and tighten the

fixing screw. You can see the paper edge through the window in
the paper guide. Position the guide so the paper edge becomes
aligned with the mark on the guide.
Important! If the paper guide is pressed too strongly against the
paper, the paper will not be fed properly. Be sure to align the
paper edge with the mark.

. After the paper comes in contact with the inner paper guide,

press the <Feed> key while simultaneously holding the paper
end against the inner roller. About 10 mm (.4") of paper is fed
into the PHS unit.
If the paper is not fed, check that the paper end is in contact with
the roller. Repeat the above process if necessary. Do not keep the
<Feed> key pressed for more than 2 seconds or a piece of white
paper will come out at the time of printing.
. Put back the roll cover.

If the paper is not properly loaded, "Paper setting error" is
displayed at the time of test printing. If so, load the paper
properly and try again.
