Ink Cartridge
Replacement
Intermec ColorCoder V4 – Installation & Operation Ed. 1
Use the following procedure to replace the ink cartridges when the
printer runs out of ink, or when deemed necessary as corrective
action as described in chapter 7 "Troubleshooting".
Caution:
• Only Collux ink cartridges must be used! Collux ink cartridges
can be obtained from the printer dealer from whom the printer
was purchased.
• Sharp parts underneath ink cartridge protective covers are
hazardous. Do not insert fingers under protective covers or pry
covers open. Notify your printer dealer immediately if the covers
break.
• Store cartridges in a place not exposed to direct sunlight, prefer-
ably in their original packing. Use cartridges within approxi-
mately a year from purchase.
• Dispose of empty cartridges in accordance with the local laws.
• The used ink cartridges contain traces of ink. Never disassemble
the cartridges.
• Do not throw cartridges into open fires for disposal.
• Damaged cartridges may leak.
. Remove a new Collux ink cartridge from its box.

. Remove the ink cartridge from the pouch. Be careful not to drop

the ink cartridge or shake it violently, since this may cause ink
to leak out of the cartridge.
