CHAPTER 7
This chapter explains the processing time of the CC-Link IE Controller Network.
7.1
Link Scan Time
The link scan time (LS) of the CC-Link IE Controller Network is obtained from the following calculation formulas.
(1) For other than the Extended Mode
(a) When assigned in LB/LW settings (1) and LX/LY settings (1)
LS = [KB + (n × 56) + {LB + LY + (LW × 16)} 8 × 0.016 + (N
KB (Constant): Total number of stations: 1 to 32 1100, Total number of stations: 33 to 64 2100,
(b) When assigned in either LB/LW settings (2) or LX/LY settings (2) in addition to the
above (1)
LS = [1100 + (n × 116) + {LB + LY + (LW × 16)} 8 × 0.016 + (N
(2) For the Extended Mode
LS = [1100 + (n × 116) + {LB + LY + (LW × 16)} 8 × 0.017 + (N
Definition of valuables in the calculation formulas shown in (1) and (2)
• n:
Total number of stations (actually connected stations, not including reserved stations)
• LB: Total number of LB points set in LB/LW settings (1) and (2) (except for reserved stations)
(
• LW: Total number of LW points set in LB/LW settings (1) and (2) (except for reserved stations)
(
Total number of LY points set in LX/LY settings (1) and (2) (except for reserved stations)
• LY:
(
• N
: Number of stations that execute transient transmissions (total number of stations when cyclic
T
transmission punctuality is assured)
• T:
Maximum number of transient transmissions for one station (
• Nc: Line control time per station
*1
Time required for reconfiguring the data link when CC-Link IE Controller Network is disconnected and reconnected due
to recovery from cable disconnection or power OFF ON (0ms if the module is not disconnected or reconnected).
During the line control, the cyclic transmission status and baton status become error in all stations.
When a set value of constant link scan is large, it may exceed 100ms to complete the data link reconstruction, since it
takes time to start the line control.
*2
If cables are disconnected or power is turned on simultaneously at multiple sites, the line control time may exceed
100ms by accumulation of line control processing loads.
