4.12.12.18 Connecting PDU8000 Monitoring Cables

Prerequisites
A network cable used for monitoring is prepared.
Procedure
Step 1 Connecting the smart electricity meter monitoring cable: Prepare a cord end terminal on one
end of the RS485 monitoring cable, connect the end to the RS485 port of the smart electricity
meter, and connect the other end to the COM port on the ECC collector, as shown in
4-213.
Issue Draft A (2015-06-29)
In the non-teamwork networking scenario, connect one communications port of the
device to the COM port on the ECC collector.
When networking multiple air conditioners of the same model in teamwork mode,
connect monitoring cables and set DIP switches by following instructions in
4-212.
Reserve teamwork communications port 1 of device 1, connect its teamwork
communications port 2 to teamwork communications port 1 of device 2, and teamwork
communications port 2 of device 2 to teamwork communications port 1 of device 3. In
this way, all devices to be monitored in group are connected, as shown by the CAN bus
in
Figure
4-212.
During teamwork networking and host RS485 monitoring networking, the teamwork
communications port of the first or last air conditioner indoor units must be connected to
the ECC COM port, as shown by the RS485 bus in
Set DIP switch toggle 7 to ON for the first and last air conditioners, and set the switch
toggle to OFF for other precision air conditioners on the main control board, as shown in
Figure
4-212.
