4.2 Positioning Cabinets or Bases

Prerequisites
You have obtained the engineering layout diagram.
Cabinet Positioning Method
Cabinets can be positioned using each a marker or a laser locator.


Procedure
Step 1 Use a level to check the floor levelness. Perform the next step if the engineering requirements
are met.
Step 2 Position cabinets or bases using a measuring tape and a marker based on the engineering
layout diagram.

A marker is recommended. This section describes how to use a marker.
If a laser locator is used, determine the position, height, and levelness for the front
cabinet in each row based on the floor texture or the outlines of floor tiles, and determine
the position for the front cabinet in the other row. Then determine positions for the other
cabinets in sequence based on the positions of the two front cabinets. Check that the
cabinets are aligned with each other using a laser locator.
Figure 4-2 shows how to position a cabinet using a marker.
When positioning cabinets or bases using marker, verify that adjacent cabinets or bases are in close
contact.
