A.3 Introduction to ECC Ports
Before connecting cables, get familiar with the ports on the ECC collector. For details about
port positions and the ECC collector appearance, see ECC500 V600R001C00 User Manual.
The following describes the configuration principles for the ECC collector:

An ECC500 with standard configurations consists of a main control module, a power
module, an RS485 communication card, and an AI/DI expansion card.
Depending on site requirements, a maximum of three RS485 communications cards and
AI/DI expansion cards can be configured.
Independent AI/DI modules can only connect to COM4 and COM5 ports on the RS485
communication cards in slot 3 or 4. A maximum of two independent AI/DI modules can
be connected to a COM4 or COM5 port, with an independent AI/DI module address of 1
or 2.
If two RS485 communication cards are configured, a maximum of eight independent
AI/DI modules can be configured.
Description
Northbound Ethernet interface, which enables encrypted
web-based access through local or remote networks, provides a
security protection mechanism, and supports third-party NMSs
and NetEco 6000
RS485/RS232 port for connecting northbound equipment;

RS485 interfaces for connecting southbound equipment;

Connects to intelligent equipment, such as the UPS, ATS, and
ACU.
Provides 12 V DC (actual range: 12.8–15 V), 400 mA outputs to
