Description of UART boot-program operation

The boot-program transfers the data sent from PC in extended intel-hex format into the
internal RAM. When the transfer has terminated normally, it calculates the SUM and sends
the result to PC before starting to execute an user-program. The execution start address is
the received first address. This boot-program provides the user's own way to control
on-board programming.
a) Operational procedure
1. Connect the serial cable. Make sure to perform connection before resetting the
TMP92CH21.
2. Set both AM1 and AM0 pins to "1" and reset TMP92CH21.

The received data in the 1st byte means the matching data. When the boot-program
starts in BOOT mode, it goes to a state in which it waits for the matching data to
receive. Upon receiving the matching data, it automatically adjusts the serial channels'
initial baud rate to 9600 bps. The matching data is 5AH.

The 2nd byte is used to echo back 5AH to PC upon completion of the automatic baud
rate setting in the first byte. If the device fails in automatic baud rate setting, it goes to
an idle state.

The 3rd byte to 6th byte are used to send the version management information of the
boot-program in ASCII code. The PC should check that the correct version of the
boot-program is used.
