System Initialization
Obtain a password file
10. In the System Type column, click DEFOCS for DEFINITY ONE or DEFIPS
for IP600 associated with the correct Alarm ID and INADS number for your
customer.
A series of messages appear, reporting the status of ART processing (for
example, reading password data out of ART's database, getting product
record data out of Maestro, creating the binary password file, and so on).
When processing is complete, ART displays the final report page.
11. Verify that the report is correct and then select Download to download both
the password file and installation script to your PC/laptop.
12. Specify where the password file and installation script should be saved.
Always save the downloaded files to disk. You can specify the folder
(directory) in which to save password.bin (for the password file) and
installscript.sh (for the installation script). You can rename the files as you
save them on your disk. If you rename them, make a note of the new
names for future reference.

International Password File Procedures

The DEFINITY ONE or IP600 system requires a password file, which for the
APAC, CALA, and the EMEA regions can be generated by on the Avaya web
server at http://info.dr.avaya.com/definityone/def1lic.html. You must be an
authorized user with a valid password to use this website.
Use Avaya's Automatic Registration Tool (ART) to obtain a password file. For
information go to
Automatic Registration Tool (ART)'' on page
To generate a password file:
1. Login to the web site with your authorization.
2. Enter the Processor Serial Number in the field that applies and click the
button next to the input field -- NEW, PREVIOUSLY, REVISE, REPAIR, or
NEW BASED ON OLD.
NOTE:
DEFOCS is the system type associated with DEFINITY ONE and
DEFIPS is the system type associated with IP600.
