Obtain a License File

Transfer and Install the license file

This procedure assumes the license file is in a folder on your laptop and you know
where this is.
The most straightforward method to install the license file uses FTP to transfer the
files. Follow these steps:
1. Connect the PC/laptop to the RJ45 jack on the front panel.

2. On the PC/laptop, click Start, Run, and type telnet 192.11.13.6; then click
OK.
3. Login using lucent3 (default password is also lucent3).
4. Type bash at the lac prompt.
5. Type ftpserv to start the ftp server.
6. Minimize the telnet window.
7. Click on Start, Programs, and select command prompt to open a DOS
window.
8. Change directory to the storage location of the license file.
9. Type ftp192.11.13.6 at the prompt.
10. At the login prompt, type anonymous; then press Enter.
11. There is no password, so press Enter again. This action puts you in the
correct location to transfer the license file.
12. Type bin
"Type set to I" displays. This sets up the binary transfer type.
13. Type put licensefile.bin to transfer the license file.
14. Type bye to close the ftp session.
15. Close the DOS window.
16. Maximize the telnet window.
17. Type exit to return to the lac prompt.
18. At the lac prompt, type the command loadlicense licensefile.bin to install
the license file.
19. Type bash at the lac prompt.
20. Type cd //d/LucentPub/ftproot.
