FEATURES
The processor unit is the electronic core of your
system. It contains your disk drives, the computer's
memory, and the main circuit board. This board
contains a powerful Central Processing Un~t
(CPU), an Intel 8086 8MHz 16 bit microprocessor,
which reads and executes all programming
instructions.
Inside your processor unit are seven expansion
slots, which you may use to add a memory board or
other options. At the back of the unit, you will see
the connectors that enable you to connect a
keyboard, display unit, printers, communications
equipment or other computers. (See Fig. 5-1.)
