Automatic Mode checks your computer's parts
one at a time, according to a prearranged checklist.
The test takes 15 to 20 minutes. At the end of the
test, a summary of test results will be displayed.
Nonautomatic Mode allows you to choose which -.,___,,
component you wish to test. In addition, you may
select how many times you want a specific test to
run. You would choose nonautomatic mode if you
were concerned about the functioning of a
particular component.
In
either mode, any errors that are detected will be
displayed on the screen.
In the following pages, you will learn how to select
various options in N onautomatic Mode.
If
you wish
to use Automatic Mode, simply press 1 and follow
the instructions on the screen.

you wish to use Automatic Mode, type the
number 1 and press the RETURN key. Then go
to step 5.
If
you wish to use Non automatic Mode, type
the number
O
and press the RETURN key.
In
the Nonautomatic Mode, the following
message will be displayed:
TESTING OPTIONS
0-EXECUTE TESTS ONCE
1-FORMAT SCRATCH DISKETTE
2-EXIT DIAGNOSTICS PROGRAM
4. Type
O
and press RETURN.

Check the list on your screen to see that i t ~
corresponds with your system's hardware.
