The memory board is installed in the row of
double sockets farthest from the disk drives. If
the memory board is already installed, it will
~
need to be removed.

- Locate and remove the screw securing the
memory board. Set it aside.
Grasp the board by the top and bottom edges
and lift it straight up. Be careful not to cut
yourself on
the
board's
pins
and
components. All existing chips will be in
rows across the upper left corner of the board
as shown in Fig. 2-4.
• If your board has 128K of memory, the
existing chips will fill rows A and B; you will
install the new chips in rows C and D.

- If your board has 256K of memory, the

existing chips will fill rows A, B, C, and D;
you will install the new chips in rows E and
F.
