Locate the sockets for the new memory chips.

Align the notch on the chip with the notch on
the socket. See Fig. 2-5. Note: If either the
chip or socket has no notch, position the
chip so that the wording on its back is in
line with the wording on memory chips
that are already installed.
Note: If the chips are not placed correctly
in the socket, a memory failure may occur.
