How To Install A Co-Processor (8087 -2)
OPTIONS
This installation requires that the bottom cover of
the processor be removed.
Remove the cover
CAREFULLY
to avoid cutting yourself on sharp
edges or damaging delicate computer parts.
If you prefer, a service representative can install
the co-processor for a fee.
If you have a hard disk system which has been
in use, you'll need to put it into shipping mode
before turning your processor over to remove the
bottom cover. See p.6-1,
Movin~,
for instructions
on how to put your system into shipping mode.
If you're adding a co-processor to a system already
setup:
BE SURE the computer's power switch is OFF.
Unplug the electrical power cord.
Disconnect all plugs from the back of the
processor.

Carefully turn the processor over and loosen
the two screws securing the bottom cover.
