The 1186 Artificial Intelligence workstation is
functional when both the hardware and software
have been installed.
This chapter provides an overview of the hardware
installation procedures for the
1186 Artificial
Intelligence workstation.
It also provides a
flowchart of the hardware installation scenario
with references to detailed installation instructions.
A Hardware Checklist, which you will use in the
following chapters to record specific information
for hardware installation, is located in Appendix A,
Hardware Configuration, for ease of reference. The
specific instructions for filling in the Hardware
Checklist appear in the following chapters.
