5. ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
x A floor jack or other adjustable support is required to support and maneuver the engine. Be
careful not to damage the scooter body, cables and wires during engine removal.
x Use shop towels to protect the scooter body during engine removal.
x Drain the coolant before removing the engine.
x After the engine is installed, fill the cooling system with coolant and be sure to bleed air from the
water jacket. Start the engine to check for coolant leaks.
x Before removing the engine, the rear brake caliper must be removed first. Be careful not to bend
or twist the brake fluid tube.
SPECIFICATIONS
Engine oil capacity: at disassembly: 1.1 L (0.968 lmp qt, 1.166 US qt)
Coolant capacity:
Radiator capacity
Reserve tank capacity : 0.37 liter (0.4 US qt, 0.33 lmp qt)
TORQUE VALUES
Engine mounting bolt/nut
Engine hanger mounting bolt
