15.HANDLEBAR/FRONT WHEEL/FRONT BRAKE/
FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER/STEERING STEM

STEERING STEM

REMOVAL
Remove the steering handlebar ( refer to the
"HANDLEBAR" section in this chapter ).
Remove the front shock absorber ( refer to the
"FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER" section in
this chapter ).
Remove the front brake hose (1) from the
guide.
Hold the steering stem top cone race and
remove the steering stem lock nut by using
the special tool.
Special tool:
Lock nut wrench
Remove the top cone race and remove the
steering stem.
Be careful not to lose the steel balls (26
on top race and 19 on bottom race).
