Removing memory

Installing or removing RAM

The Matrox Supersight SHB-5520 boards feature slots in which you can install RAM
modules. It has six 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM slots. Each slot supports a
SO-DIMM memory module of up to 8 Gbytes in size. Total memory can be up
to 48 Gbytes.
To remove the existing memory module(s) from the Matrox Supersight SHB
board:
1. Open the chassis by following the steps explained in Removing the chassis cover,
earlier in this chapter.
2. If present, remove the retainer guides. For information, refer to Removing the
retainer guide subsection, earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the SHB from its slot and place it on a static-free flat surface.
4. Spread the clips at each end of the SO-DIMM slot.
