Paired PCIe connectors are connectors where either: one works at x16, or both work at x8.
board communicates with other boards in the same node through a x16
connection with the SHB's associated PCIe 2.0 switch. PCIe connectors of Matrox
Supersight e2 are paired, except for 1, 5, 6, and 7. PCIe connectors 1 and 6 always
communicate at x8 and PCIe connectors 5 and 7 always communicate at x16.
Each pathway to and from a PCIe 2.0 switch in the diagram below is labeled with
the maximum number of PCIe lanes (x16) that it can handle.
