Removing the retainer guide

The Matrox Supersight SHB-5520 board and PCIe boards installed in your
Matrox Supersight are held in place with a retainer guide. The guide has several
attachments (each called a pressure foot) that are used to hold the SHB or PCIe
board(s) in place. When adding a new board to your Matrox Supersight unit or
adding/removing memory from Matrox Supersight SHB-5520, the retainer guide
must first be removed. To do so, perform the following:
1. Remove the screw holding each pressure foot to each board already installed in
your chassis.
2. Remove the six screws holding the retainer guide in place.

Note that there are two retainer guides shipped with your Matrox Supersight.
With typical installations, only one retainer guide is installed.
3. Lift the retainer guide out of the chassis, and set it aside.
❖ Note that when re-installing the guide, take care to align the pressure feet with
their corresponding board.
