QPI Link sub-submenu

The QPI Link sub-submenu allows you to configure QuickPath interconnect
(QPI) link speed and frequency.
❖ Note that changing the default values of these settings could prevent the QPI link
speed and frequency from working properly.
Setting the items below to the wrong values can cause the unit to malfunction.
Meaning
This item reports the current QPI link speed. The QPI link connects the Intel Xeon Quad-Core processors and
the north bridge of the Intel chipset.
This item reports the current QPI link frequency.
This item allows you to change the operating mode of the QPI link speed.
When set to Slow, the QPI link speed will be set to 66 mega-transfers per second (MegaT/sec). This has a
direct impact on performance.
When set to Fast, the QPI link speed will be set to an optimal speed; from 4.8 giga-transfers per second
(GigaT/sec) to 6.4 GigaT/sec.
Note that changing this setting has a direct impact on performance. It is not recommended to change the

default setting for this item.
This item allows you to change the way packets are exchanged using a requester tracker identifier (RTID).
Note that the default setting of this value is optimized for the Matrox Supersight SHB-5520 board.

This item allows you to change the current QPI link frequency, in gigatransfers per second (GT/sec). This
item is only valid when the QPI Link Speed item is set to the Fast option.
Note that changing this setting has a direct impact on performance. It is not recommended to change the
