42 Chapter 3: Connecting devices to the backplane and to the Matrox Supersight SHB-5520 board
5. Press the board firmly but carefully into the selected PCIe or SHB connector on
the backplane, while inserting the tab of the board's bracket into the groove at the
bottom of the board cage. The illustration below shows an SHB being installed
in an SHB connector.
6. To fix the board more firmly to the board cage, you can attach the board's bracket
to the board cage using a screw. Note that some boards have a double-width bracket
that takes up two slots of the board cage (for example, Matrox Supersight SHBs
and some third-party GPU boards).
7. Connect a power cable from the Matrox Supersight power supply to your board,
if required. The power cables inside your Matrox Supersight unit are 6+2 pin PCIe
power cables. Each 6+2 pin cable has both a 6+2 pin connector and an 8-pin EPS
connector. In addition, with your Matrox Supersight unit, you have received
several adapter cables designed to convert a 6+2 pin connector into two 6-pin
