Operating states of the Matrox Supersight

To establish the operating status of your Matrox Supersight unit, the unit has light
emitting diodes (LEDs) on the front and back panels.

Front panel LEDs

There are two LEDs on the front panel of the Matrox Supersight unit.
HDD activity LED
These LEDs report the following:
• Power LED (green). The power LED turns green when the first
power from the power supply.
• HDD activity LED (yellow). The HDD activity LED turns yellow when the
primary mass storage device of the first SHB is active (for example, the device is
saving or retrieving data).
1. The first SHB is the SHB that is in the left-most SHB slot on the backplane,
as seen from the front panel (see the illustration in the Establishing which boards can
be installed section, in Chapter 3: Connecting devices to the backplane and to the
Matrox Supersight SHB-5520 board).
