• The HDD activity LED connector connects to a LED on the front panel. This
LED indicates whether the mass storage device connected to the first SHB is active
(receiving/transmitting data).
• The system reset connector connects to the system reset button on the front panel.
The system reset button allows you to reboot the unit.
• The power button connector connects to the power button on the front panel.
The power button allows you to power-on the unit or turn off the unit.
If one or more LEDs or buttons on the chassis fail to operate, technical support
might ask you to verify that the lights are properly lit and the cables are well
connected.

Voltage rail LEDs

The voltage rail LEDs indicate whether your power-supply and the power
connector are providing sufficient voltage.
The Matrox Supersight backplane uses DC voltage rails to receive power from the
internal power supply and provide it to the various devices on the backplane.
When one or more Matrox Supersight features fails to function, technical support
might ask you to verify whether the voltage rail LEDs are lit. Names are provided
to help with communication.
*. The first SHB is the SHB that is in the left-most SHB slot on the backplane, as seen
from the front panel (see the illustration in the Establishing which boards can be
installed section, in Chapter 3: Connecting devices to the backplane and to the Matrox
Supersight SHB-5520 board).
