Paired PCIe connectors are connectors where either: one works at x16, or both work at x8.
- 8+5 PCIe connector configuration. This configuration groups the PCIe
connectors into a group of 8 and a group of 5, each controlled by a PCIe 2.0
switch. With this configuration, PCIe connector 9 communicates at x16, and
PCIe connectors 1 and 8 are shared.
Note that only the first 8 PCIe 2.0 connectors, one PCIe 2.0 switch, and a

single set of x16 lanes of communication to the SHB are available on the
8-connector version of Matrox Supersight Solo.
