Brake pedal: Removal - Refitting
RIGHT-HAND DRIVE
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (MR 415, 80A, Battery).
a Remove:
- the dashboard (see Dashboard: Removal - Refit-
ting) (MR 416, 57A, Interior equipment),
- the dashboard cross member (see Dashboard
cross member: Removal - Refitting) (MR 416,
42A, Upper front structure),
- the brake pedal link rod (see 37A, Mechanical
component controls, Brake pedal link rod: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 37A-26) .
II - REMOVAL OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the nut (1) from the brake pedal link rod connecting
shaft,
- the link rod connecting shaft.
a Turn the brake pedal shaft (2) to release the lug.
a Remove:
- the brake pedal shaft,
- the brake pedal.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the brake pedal,
- the brake pedal shaft.
a Lock the brake pedal shaft into the lug.
a Refit:
- the brake pedal link rod shaft,
- the brake pedal link rod shaft nut.
II - FINAL OPERATION.
a Refit:
- the link rod (see 3 7 A, Mechanical component
controls, Brake pedal link rod: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 37A-26) ,
- the dashboard cross member (see Dashboard
cross member: Removal - Refitting) (MR 416,
42A, Upper front structure),
- the dashboard (see Dashboard: Removal - Refit-
ting) (MR 416, 57A, Interior equipment).
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (MR 415, 80A, Battery).
