ADJUSTMENT
I - PREPARATION OPERATION FOR CHECK
a Place the vehicle on a level horizontal working area.
a Do not apply the parking brake.
a Check and inflate the tyres to the recommended
pressure (see Tyre pressure: Identification) (35A,
Wheels and tyres).
a Open the cover.
a Remove:
- the windscreen washer bottle neck (see 85A, Wip-
ing - Washing, Windscreen washer reservoir
neck: Removal - Refitting, page 85A-35) .
- the battery cover.
a Check:
- that the luggage compartment is empty,
- that the headlights are clean.
Note:
Do not get into the vehicle throughout the opera-
tion.
a Switch on the dipped headlights.
II - TEST OPERATION
a Place a headlight adjustment and checking tool
set to -1% in front of the vehicle (see equipment in-
structions).
a Check the headlight beam adjustment using the
headlight adjustment and checking tool (see the
instructions for the equipment).

III - ADJUSTMENT OPERATION
1 - Vertical adjustment
a Use the headlight adjustment and checking tool
to vertically adjust the headlight by turning the bolt
(1) .
