Hydraulic distributor internal wiring: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and AJ0
- the temperature sensor retaining plate,
- the earth,
- the wiring.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (04B, Consuma-
bles - Products) to clean and degrease the joint fa-
ces:
- on the automatic gearbox,
- on the hydraulic distributor casing.
WARNING
T o ensure proper sealing, the gasket surfaces
must be clean, dry and not greasy (avoid any fin-
ger marks).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- the wiring,
- the earth terminal,
- the temperature sensor retaining plate.
Note:
The earth terminal (18) should be positioned
between the distributor and the temperature sen-
sor retaining plate so that the earth terminal does
not break when the bolt is tightened.
a Torque tighten the internal wiring earth bolts and
the temperature sensor bolt (8 N.m) (17) and (18)
.
a Connect:
- the connectors for the solenoid valves,
- the connector to the external wiring,
- the pressure sensor connectors.
a Push back the internal wiring retaining clips.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- a new hydraulic distributor housing seal,
- the hydraulic distributor housing.
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
a Torque tighten the hydraulic distributor housing
bolts (8 Nm).
a Fit the cooling hose assembly in place.
a Connect the oil cooler hoses to the automatic gear-
box.
a Refit the clips to the gearbox oil cooler hoses using
the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the thermoplunger unit hoses.
a Refit the clips for the thermoplunger unit hoses using
the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the radiator lower hose.
a Refit the clip for the radiator lower hose using the
tool (Mot. 1448).
a Remove the intercooler air inlet pipe seals using a
tweezers.
