REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 415, 02A, Lifting equip-
ment).
a Remove:
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 415, 80A, Battery),
- the battery tray (see Battery tray: Removal - Re-
fitting) (MR 415, 80A, Battery),
- the air filter box (see Air filter unit: Removal - Re-
fitting) (MR 415, 12A, Fuel mixture),
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front left-hand wheel (see Wheel: Removal -
Refitting) (MR 415, 35A, Wheels and tyres),
- the front left-hand wheel arch liner (see Front
wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting) (MR 416,
55A, Exterior protection),
- the front left-hand driveshaft (see 29A, Drive-
shafts, Front left-hand driveshaft: Removal -
Refitting, page 29A-1) .
a Drain the automatic transmission (see 23A, Auto-
matic gearbox, Automatic gearbox oil: Draining -
Filling, page 23A-29)

a Unclip the main automatic transmission connector
(1) from its mounting.
a Disconnect the main automatic transmission con-
nector.
a Remove:
- the bolts (2) from the automatic transmission main
connector mounting,
- the automatic transmission main connector mount-
ing (3) .
