Xenon headlight high voltage unit: Removal - Refitting
DISCHARGE LAMPS
IMPORTANT
To prevent burns, wait until the « computers - power
unit » assemblies are cold before removal.
IMPORTANT
To prevent eye injuries:
- do not look at a discharge bulb when lit (voltage
when lit 20000 V),
- do not light a bulb which has not been fitted into its
headlight.
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 415, 02A, Lifting equip-
ment).
a Disconnect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery:
Removal - Refitting, page 80A-4) .
a Remove:
- the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (MR 416, 55A, Exterior protection),
- the headlight (see 80B, Headlights, Headlight:
Removal - Refitting, page 80B-1) .

- the high voltage unit bolts (1) ,
- the high voltage unit.
Note:
When refitting, tighten the two high voltage unit
bolts alternately in order to fit the unit to the
headlight evenly.
Failure to adhere to this advice may cause a
sealing fault in the high voltage unit.
