Hydraulic distributor wiring: Removal - Refitting
M9R, and AJ0
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Clean the joint faces using SURFACE CLEANER
(see Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the re-
pair) (04B, Consumables - Products) on the auto-
matic gearbox and on the hydraulic distributor
housing, taking care not to damage the contact sur-
faces.
a Always replace:
- the hydraulic distributor housing seal,
- the intercooler air inlet pipe seals.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit the hydraulic distributor wiring.
a Connect the main connector.
a Clip the main connector onto its support.
a Connect:
- the automatic gearbox connectors,
- the internal wiring connector,
a Refit the wiring routing retaining bolt.
a Torque tighten the wiring routing retainer bolt (7
N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- a new hydraulic distributor housing seal,
- the hydraulic distributor housing,
- the hydraulic distributor casing bolts.
a Torque tighten the hydraulic distributor housing
bolts (8 Nm).
a Fit the cooling hose assembly in place.
a Connect the oil cooler hoses to the automatic gear-
box.
a Refit the clips on the automatic gearbox oil cooler
hoses using the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the thermoplunger unit hoses.
a Refit the clips for the thermoplunger unit hoses using
the tool (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the radiator lower hose.
a Refit the clip for the radiator lower hose using the
tool (Mot. 1448).
AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
a Remove the intercooler air inlet pipe seals using a
tweezers.
a
Note:
Check to ensure that the seals for the intercooler
air inlet pipe are fitted in their groove the right
way round.
a Refit new seals to the intercooler air inlet pipe.
a Turn the intercooler air inlet pipe clips so that they
are refitted in their groove.
