Automatic gearbox: Removal - Refitting

a Pre-tighten to torque the converter nuts (pre-tight-
ening) (22N.m).
a Torque tighten the converter nuts (tightening)
(32N.m).
F4R, and AJ0, and 018
a Torque tighten the converter nuts (tightening)
(44N.m).
a Refit the starter (see Starter: Removal - Refitting)
(MR 415, 16A,Starting - Charging)
a Refit the hoses and the wiring fitted to the automatic
gearbox bell housing.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:

a Apply the after repair procedure using the Diagnos-
tic tool :
a Connect the Diagnostic tool
Select the gearbox computer
Go to repair mode
Display the « Before/after repair » procedure for the
gearbox computer
Carry out the operations described in the « After re-
pair procedure » section.
a Refit:
- the engine undertray,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine cover.
