1.9 TRANSFER BELT CLEANING

1. Do not touch the lubricant brush with oily bare hands.
2. When installing a new cleaning blade, apply setting powder along the
edge of the blade.
3. The lubricant bar should be replaced if damaged or worn (holes, dents,
or less than 0.5 mm overlap of the brush over the bar).
4. The lubricant brush and the lubricant bar should be replaced as a set.
5. When inserting the unit, both the solenoid's plungers must be in (no
contact position with the transfer belt). If it is not, the transfer belt will be
damaged.

1.10 FUSING UNIT

1. When replacing the hot roller at every 40K scans, lubricate the inner and
outer surface of the heat isolating bushings with Barrierta L55/2.
2. The fusing drive gears should be lubricated with Mobil Temp. 1 or 78
every 80K scans.
3. After installing the upper fusing thermistor, make sure that it's in contact
with the hot roller and movable.
4. After installing the lower fusing thermistor, make sure that it is in contact
with the pressure roller.
5. Be careful not to damage the edges of the hot roller strippers or their
tension springs.
6. Do not touch the fusing lamps and rollers with bare hands.
7. Make sure that the fusing lamps are positioned correctly and that they do
not touch the inner surface of the rollers.
8. After replacing the oil blade and oil supply pad, prime the entire length of
the blade with silicon oil.
9. Do not touch the screws for the pressure springs. These are adjusted at
the factory to maintain the proper nip band width.
