4.8 SCANNER MOTOR REPLACEMENT

1. Turn off the main switch and unplug the machine.
2. Remove the exposure glass. (See Exposure Glass Removal.)
3. Remove the following parts. (See Exterior and Inner Covers Removal
Section.)

Operation panel [A]
•
Upper rear cover [B]
•
Top cover [C]
4. Remove the platen cover position sensor [D] (1 screw and 1 connector).
5. Remove the left scale bracket [E] (2 M3 x 5 screws) and the right stay
bracket [F] (4 screws).
NOTE: Screws [G] are M3 x 5 screws.
6. Remove the rear frame [H] (15 screws).
