Configuring Automated Media Pool

Step 1: Creating AMP
Partitions
Quantum Scalar i6000 User's Guide
• All storage slots in the AMP partition must be licensed (via COD).
• AMP partitions do not contain drives.
To configure AMP, you need to set up one or more AMP partitions from
which to draw media and optional magazine assignments. If you want
to use magazine assignments, you must also configure magazine
extensions in one or more standard partitions.

1 Make sure you are viewing the physical library. From the View
menu, select the name of the physical library.
2 Make sure the Partition license is installed on the library (see
Enabling Licenses
3 Use Expert Mode to create one or more AMP library managed
partitions. Follow the instructions in
page 139.
When you get to the screen named Partitions - Step 2: Choose
Partition Properties, select Library Managed (AMP) from the
Partition Type drop-down menu.
