IMMOBILIZER DIAGNOSTIC FLOW TABLE

NOTE:
After replacing with Immobilizer Control Module and/or ECM, register transponder code and ECU code ac-
cording to "Procedure after Immobilizer Control Module Replacement" or "Procedure after ECM Replace-
ment". Otherwise, the accurate trouble diagnosis will not be assured.

ACTION

Turn ignition switch to start engine.
Dose engine run?

Check DTC stored in immobilizer
control module referring to
"DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE
CHECK".
Are there DTC Nos 13 and/or 14?

Is there DTC No.12?
4
Are there DTC Nos 11 and/or 31?
5
Are there DTC No.41, 42 or 43?

Turn ignition switch to start engine.
Dose engine run?
IMMOBILIZER CONTROL SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED) 8G-7
YES
Immobilizer control system
is in good condition.
Go to flow table for DTC No.
Go to flow table for DTC No.
Go to flow table for DTC No.
Go to flow table for DTC No.
Immobilizer control system
is in good condition.
NO
Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 5.
Substitute a known-good
immobilizer control module.
And then go to Step 6.
If vehicle is equipped with
single-connector ECM,
proceed to "ENGINE
DIAGNOSIS TABLE" in
Section 6.
And if vehicle is equipped with
triple-connector ECM, Proceed
to "ENGINE DIAGNOSIS
TABLE" in Section 6-1.
