INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure noting the following.
D Clean mating surfaces of EGR valve and exhaust manifold.
D Use new gasket (1).
D Tighten EGR valve nuts to specified torque.
D Install EGR pipe clamps by using special tool.

EGR SOLENOID VALVE
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove air cleaner outlet hose.
3) Disconnect connector from EGR solenoid valve (1).
4) Disconnect vacuum hoses from EGR solenoid valve.
5) Remove EGR solenoid valve from bracket.
INSPECTION
Measure resistance between each two terminals.
If resistance is out of specification, replace EGR solenoid valve.
EGR solenoid valve resistance: 15 – 20 Ω
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure.

Tightening Torque
EGR valve nut (a): 10 N
Special Tool
