DTC P1608 ECT WARNING LAMP CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

WIRING DIAGRAM
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC, pending DTC and freeze flame data by using scan tool.
3) Turn off ignition switch and then on.
4) Check DTC and pending DTC by using scan tool.
TROUBLESHOOTING
STEP
1
Was "ENGINE DIAG. FLOW TABLE" performed?
2
Engine Coolant Warning Lamp Circuit Check
1) Disconnect connector at ECM with ignition switch
OFF.
2) Check voltage between "BLK/RED" wire terminal
of ECM connector and ground.
D Ignition switch ON: 10 – 14 V
D Ignition switch OFF: 0 V
Is check result as specified?
ENGINE DIAGNOSIS (RHZ ENGINE WITH SINGLE-CONNECTOR ECM) 6-65
ACTION
YES
Go to Step 2.
Poor C51-23
connection.
If it is in good
condition, substitute a
known-good ECM and
recheck.
1. Engine coolant temperature
warning lamp
2. ECM
3. Ignition switch
4. "IG" fuse (20 A)
NO
Go to "ENGINE DIAG.
FLOW TABLE".
D "BLK/RED" wire
open or short to
ground/battery or
D Bulb burned out
