DTC P0215 DOUBLE RELAY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
WIRING DIAGRAM
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC, pending DTC and freeze flame data by using scan tool.
3) Turn ON ignition switch after OFF for 5 sec.
4) Check DTC and pending DTC by using scan tool.
TROUBLESHOOTING
STEP
1 Was "ENGINE DIAG. FLOW TABLE" performed?
2 Check Double Relay Function
1) Turn ignition switch ON for 5 sec. and then OFF.
Is click of double relay heard from double relay at
2 sec. after ignition switch OFF?
3 1) Remove ECM cover referring to "Voltage Check"
in this section.
2) Check voltage between C51-29/1 and ground.
Ignition switch ON: 10 – 14 V
Ignition switch OFF: about 0 V
Is check result as specified?
4 Check Double Relay
1) Check double relay referring to Section 6E3.
Is it in good condition?
5 1) Check voltage between C51-86 and ground.
Ignition switch ON: about 0 V
Ignition switch OFF: 10 – 14 V
Is check result as specified?
ACTION YES
Go to Step 2.
Substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
Poor C51-29/1
connection.
If connection is OK,
substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
Go to Step 5.
D Poor C51-86
connection,
D "BLU/BLK" wire
open/short or
D "WHT /GRN" wire
open/short
1. Double relay
2. ECM
3. Double relay fuse (30 A)
4. To radiator fan relay No.3
NO
Go to "ENGINE DIAG.
FLOW TABLE".
Go to Step 3.
