Considerations and Limitations
• The ipc1-im8130 supports all Macintosh computers that use
AppleShare, which includes all workstations running version
6.0.7 (or later) operating system except for the Macintosh XL
and 128K.

Decide Whether to Use WINS Servers

The ipc1-im8130 supports the WINS host name resolution
service. Using a WINS server is optional but has several
advantages, especially if you are using DHCP to dynamically
assign IP Addresses (enabled by default):
Users can refer to the device by its name instead of its IP
address.
Users won't have to look up the currently assigned IP address
every time they want to access the embedded web server.
It simplifies command line printing for LPR/LPD clients.
