away from the queue-based paradigm allowing you to more
quickly and easily establish Novell print services.
Network Scan Support
The ipc1-im8130 Network Scan feature allows you to turn a hard
copy document into an electronic file that can be stored on the
network, retrieved from TWAIN-compliant applications,
uploaded to an FTP server or distributed via Email.
Using the copier's control panel or the Printer Utility web-based
utility, you can configure scan and distribution parameters,
including scan settings, transfer type, and distribution locations.
Additionally, you can use Printer Utility to create scan templates
that contain all required scan and distribution information. When
downloaded to the copier, these templates provide a way to
perform one-touch scan and send tasks from the copier control
panel.
Another capability provided by the Network Scan feature is
sending a scanned file as an Internet Fax job (iFax).
Printer Utility
With the Printer Utility web-based device management utility in
administrator mode, you can configure network and device
settings, view and filter message and job logs, and control current
jobs using a web browser. You can also shut down or reboot the
controller and print test pages remotely using Printer Utility.
Additionally, Printer Utility allows you to enable event
confirmation and notification, set the copier and print settings,
and remotely configure network settings.
Document Manager
Document Manager enables end-users to store, edit and manage
post-print (prior to hard copy release) and scan documents. It
provides two predefined system folders called Department and
Public, and creates a private folder for each user account.
Document Manager maintains a database of user information for
registered users, including the user name, password, Email
address and account description; and limits access to folders
based on this information.
