CONFIGURING LPR/LPD PRINTING

Considerations and Limitations

Magazine sorting and saddle stitching features are not
supported.
Printing Microsoft Word documents that contain multiple
section breaks is not supported. The output stacking order
will be incorrect and, if stapling is enabled, each section will
be stapled individually.

Prerequisites

Enable Macintosh printing:
Remotely, using Printer Utility on the administrator's
workstation.
Locally, using the printer's LCD touch screen.

Macintosh LPD Setup

1 Launch your Web browser. Open Printer Utility using the IP
address of the ipc1-im8130 controller you want to configure.
(Refer to Opening Printer Utility
Note: You can find the IP address by using ipc1-Document
Monitor.
2 Login as an Administrator.
3 Click the
Administration
4 Click the Setup submenu.
5 Click the
Print Services
6 Scroll down to the LPD Printing section and select
from the drop-down box.
7 Click .
Save
Proceed to Installing Client Software

Classic Mode Support

For Classic mode support, please ensure that OS 9.1 has been
installed on your MAC and restart your system in the Classic
mode.
