IPC1-DOCUMENT MONITOR ERROR MESSAGES
ipc1-im8130 Operator's Guide (Basic)
Cannot Interpret ipc1-Document Monitor Messages/
Warnings/Errors
Problem Description
The device status indicates the current state of the copier to which
print jobs are being submitted.
Corrective Action
For an explanation of device status messages, refer to the ipc1-
Document Monitor online Help topic titled, Interpreting Device
Messages, Warnings and Errors.
Document is unserviceable
Unless there is a hardware error, a job is considered
"unserviceable" if the controller does not support the features
selected for the job. This most often occurs when you use a non-
Imagistics driver to submit a job to a ipc1-im8130 printer.
For example, you may select an HP LaserJet driver in the
®
Windows
operating system and connect it to the network port to
which the controller is attached. Since the default configuration is
PCL, the controller may not recognize that the print commands
(requesting services it doesn't provide) are coming from a
non-Imagistics driver.
Corrective Action
1
Use only Imagistics printer drivers, PPD file (Macintosh),
and Unix filters to print to the ipc1-im8130.
2
Make sure that the driver's network port is mapped to the
correct ipc1-im8130 printer. For more details, refer to the
ipc1-im8130 Operator's Guide (Basic).
Printer has a paper jam
The copier bitmap image displayed on the copier's control panel
and in Printer Utility indicates the location of the paper jam. You
must clear the paper path before printing can resume. For more
information about resolving paper jams, refer to the Imagistics
Operator's Manual for Copying Functions or contact your
Imagistics authorized dealer for support.
