Closed transmission setting

When closed transmission is set to ON, the registered passcode and the passcode registered in
the destination machine are compared before starting transmission. Transmission is allowed only
when the passcodes are matched.
Operating tips
●Select ON or OFF of closed transmission
●A protect passcode and a passcode need to be registered in advance. (page 5-34, page 3-101)
● Even when ON selected, you can perform only one communication with closed transmission OFF by press-
ing the soft key for [Closed Tx].
● Even when OFF selected, you can perform only one communication with closed transmission ON by press-
ing the soft key for [Closed Tx].
1 Press the <Setting> key.
2 Press [Fax Functions].

4 Use the numeric keys to enter
the protect passcode.
