How to load the document

Make sure to dry correction fl uid, ink and stamped areas completely before loading the document.
When loading the document in the ADF
(1) Place the surface to be copied or transmitted upward and load it all the way to the back on the left side of
the machine. (The loaded document will be copied or transmitted from the top of the stack.)
(2) Align the document guide with the document width.
(3) Carefully adjust the guide until it reaches the edge of the document.
Face the surface of the document to be copied or
transmitted upward.
When placing the document on the document glass
(1) Open the platen cover and place the surface to be copied or transmitted downward, then align the document
to the loading reference on the back of the left side.
(2) Carefully close the platen cover to closely fi t the document to the glass.
Align the document to the back of
the left side.
