If the alarm sounds

The alarm will sound for four seconds. Since the alarm description is either displayed as an error
message or printed out, check the message and take an appropriate action.

Status and countermeasure
1. Lower four digits of the fax number registered by the des-
tination do not match with those of the entered number.
Check the ID number.
2. The fax number is not registered by the destination.
Call the destination and ask him/her to check the oper-
ating status of their machine.
Call the destination and ask him/her to check the mode,
fax number, machine status, passcode, and any other
relevant information about their machine.
Call the destination and ask them to check the operating
status of their machine.
1. The document may not be transmitted properly.
Resend the document.
2. The phone line may have a problem.
Resend the document.
1. The document was not successfully transmitted to the
destination, despite having redialed the preset number of
times.
Enter the destination fax number and transmit again.
If this message appears again, call the destination to
ask him/her to check the status of their machine.
2. Check the phone line settings are correct. (page 1-59)
In case of the reception, ask the sending party to resend
the document. The memory may overfl ow when the
received documents are stored in memory because paper
or toner has run out. In this case, replace the paper, drum
unit, or toner bottle.
In case of the transmission, set to real time transmission
and resend the document.
Re-set the speed-dial and resend the document.
Communication has stopped, restart the operation.
