FAX Chapter5 Fax Settings
This sets the default level for resolution when a document is scanned. By setting it
to a level suitable for the most commonly sent document type, you can reduce the
time and effort required when making changes.
This sets the default level for contrast when a document is scanned. By setting it to
a level suitable for the most commonly sent document type, you can reduce the time
and effort required when making changes.
Set to ON to display or print the sender name on the fax.
Select one of the documents 1 to 3 to add a cover page containing a simple document
(message) to every fax.
Set to "ON" to always print out a transmission confi rmation report. You can select
ON or OFF for transmission confi rmation report by each communication.
This sets whether to give the priority to memory transmission or to real-time
transmissions when sending faxes. Memory transmissions are given the priority
when "ON" is set and real-time transmissions when "OFF" is set.
You can also select to give the priority to memory transmissions or to real-time
transmissions by each communication.
This sets the default of subject and message for the Internet fax.
To change the message template, select "ON" and press [Enter], then select the
template you want to change.

To register the message template, select "E-mail Settings" on the [Admin Tools] screen of
the Offi ceBridge. For more details on how to create it, refer to "Reference Manual".
This sets the formatting default of the scanned fi le attached to the Internet fax.
· TIFF-S ..... TIFF format for the simple mode. All the documents will be converted to
A4 size in 200 dpi or less for transmitting.
· TIFF-F .... TIFF format for the full mode. Documents will be transmitted in the
original document size and resolution at scanning.
· PDF .........Transmitted in PDF format.
