Transmission resolution/contrast setting

Select the transmission resolution/contrast to match the document and text.
Note
· [S-Fine] might not al-
ways be supported by
the receiving machine.
· A longer transmission
time is required for each
increasing level of reso-
lution from standard
mode to photo mode.

Press [Resolution].

(1) Select the desired resolution.
●Normal
When transmitting a document
with standard print
●Fine
When transmitting a document
with fine print (newspaper, etc.)
●S-Fine
When transmitting a detailed il-
lustration or fine text (dictionary
text)
●Photo
When transmitting a photograph
●Background
When transmitting a document
w i t h s u p p r e s s i n g t h e b a ck -
ground, such as patterns
(2) Press [Enter].
■ Contrast

Press [Contrast].

(1) Select the desired contrast.
The contrast can be selected from
5 levels to match the document.
●Darkest
To scan at the darkest contrast
●Darker
Between darkest and normal
●Normal
For normal documents
●Lighter
Between lightest and normal
●Lightest
To scan at the lightest contrast
(2) Press [Enter].

Adjust the resolution and select [Enter].
